Depending on brand, most, or sometimes all of the solar components, including the roof mounts, automatically carry a warranty of 25 years at no extra cost. This means if a system component were to fail or not perform correctly, you are 100% covered.

THE PAYOFF
THE #1 QUESTION TO ASK; HOW LONG WILL MY SYSTEM TAKE TO PAY FOR ITSELF?
Most companies completely avoid this topic in order to get away with unethically overcharging for solar installations. At Jackson Solar we believe that if you are really saving money by going solar, then your system should pay for itself. In order to do that reliably, it must pay for itself well-within it's warrantied period. We aim to provide a payoff period of 7 YEARS OR LESS, or at most, less than half the life of a general warrantied solar system, which is 12.5 years, meaning if a system saves you $1200 per year (7 kW system), then it should cost you no more than $15000. As utility rates tend to increase, we take this as a factor in our calculations at an average 2% factor of inflation. See the examples below of the maximum price you should ever pay for a solar panel system:
8 kW SYSTEM - $17,500
An 8 kilowatt solar system should cost you no more than about $17,500 total including installation in order for it to pay for itself in 12.5 years.
9 kW SYSTEM - $19,700
A 9 kilowatt solar system should cost you no more than about $19,700 total including installation in order for it to pay for itself in 12.5 years.
10 kW SYSTEM - $21,900
A 10 kilowatt solar system should cost you no more than about $21,900 total including installation in order for it to pay for itself in 12.5 years.

Jackson Solar LLC, located in Jackson, MO, is owned an operated by Southeast Missouri State University Graduate Jacob Long, who graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Sustainable Energy Systems as it relates to solar energy. The belief of our company is that providing environmentally ethical solar energy generation systems, should come at a fair, honest, and ethical price, and that communities, no matter how big or small should work together to provide a cleaner earth for our generation and generations to come. For us it is so much more than running a business. Many fly-by-night solar companies, and door-to-door solar sales companies are jumping from city to city, unethically overcharging those unfamiliar with the solar industry, in many cases falsely educating them, and in turn created a poor reputation for going solar.
